11am A Family Event a place to meet other families and enjoy activities together.

12pm The Butterfly & the Snail. Bring the kids along to this creative reading of a beautiful children’s story about understanding asexuality from Queertawe participant Dee Vaughan

1pm Youth Takeover. In collaboration with Mess Up the Mess, Good Vibes, People Speak Up, New Heights and Future Blood expect a lively response to the theme of “Belonging” as our brilliant young people take to the floor.

3pm Q&A with Andy Newbery, Director Series 3 Heartstopper.
We’re absolutely thrilled to confirm that Andy Newbery, director of the latest Netflix series of Alice Oseman’s gorgeous queer graphic novels, is stopping by for a Q&A session following our youth takeover.
Get the inside story on this must-see series, find out more about Andy’s route into directing and learn why it’s the series he wishes he’d had when growing up.

4:30-5.30pm Speak the Words. Queertawe is packed with poets who love to perform. Expect poems and monologues on grief, joy, and everything in between.

5:30-7pm From the Queer Heart. Hilarious and heart-wrenching scenes and sketches from our participants.
